Children have started using Google Docs as a chatting service in school as most schools have other forms of social media blocked. From a distance it will appear that the children are each working on their own Google Docs application however on closer examination it may be possible that they are all collaborating on the one Google Doc. So they have created a secret chat room within the classroom.
Google docs has also become the ‘new’ diary of children today. A diary that can be accessed from anywhere through any device that is internet enabled. These diaries are totally private leaving no paper trail at all. Children or teenagers suffering with anxiety or depression could be pouring their hearts into a Google Doc without their parents knowing. They could miss out on much needed help as a result.

protection to give them a fun and safe experience.
