In the Twitter settings you also have the option of turning off the receiving of direct messages (these are private messages from anyone on the platform) and you also have the option of turning off location sharing.
There is a mute account option too. This is where a child can remove other users’ tweets etc. from their timeline without unfollowing or blocking them. This feature is useful if your child is friends with someone but doesn’t like what they post. The other user won’t know that they’re banned.
Twitter covers any content they believe to be sensitive with a warning screen. As the user, you can decide to scroll by these posts or to click the warning screen to reveal what’s behind.
