Twitter is a micro-blogging site that allows you to send and receive short posts called tweets. There was an original limit of 140 characters on Tweets as the aim was to encourage short micro blogs. Twitter have since doubled this limit to 280 but they’ve found that only 1% of Tweets are reaching the new limit. Users usually Tweet about a range of different topics. Users read Tweets, they can interact with them too. There is an option to comment, to retweet (this copies the tweet on to your Twitter feed) and to like.
