Co-founder & Chief Creative Officer
Caroline Allams is Natterhub’s Chief Creative Officer (CCO) and an experienced educator - fuelled by compassion, empathy and a drive to provide pupils with meaningful learning opportunities.
She began her career in the UK, later teaching at international schools in Amsterdam, Barcelona and Hong Kong, where she became Assistant Headteacher at Kellett School at just 27.
Caroline is also founder of The Pedagogs, a multi award-winning educational brand supplying over 50% of UK primary schools. Her much-loved designs draw inspiration from children’s literature and creative typography to deliver motivational paper products that communicate pupil’s achievements.
Inspired by her continued desire to make a real difference for children, Caroline wanted to tackle the issues around screen use and social media. Her philosophy is simply; education should have the child at the heart of everything that’s taught, and empathy needs to be high on the school agenda. Caroline passionately believes that wellbeing lies at the heart of personal success, in mimicry as a powerful route for learning, and that social media and its potential needs to be explicitly and positively modelled.
Natterhub had been Caroline’s brainchild for years before she met Manjit Sareen, but the onset of the COVID pandemic changed everything. As teachers and children were forced to move to a blended learning model, Manjit and Caroline made the decision to launch early.
The platform was made ready in a matter of weeks, giving children all across the world a place where they could stay connected to their peers and learn valuable lessons about online safety and digital literacy.
The space in Caroline’s brain that’s not taken up with work is filled with cooking, portrait photography and sewing.
